Tom Wesselmann

Tom Wesselmann is one of the most important representatives of American Pop Art. His work is characterized by the reduction of form to a minimum of line, one of his most important themes is the female nude, recurring in series such as “Great American Nudes” and “Sunset Nudes ”or“ Bedroom Paintings ”. In the 1980s he began his famous cut-outs, works cut from aluminum or steel that are supposed to give the impression that they were drawn directly on the wall.
