Parov Stelar – Tomorrow was ok !

Under the title "tomorrow was ok!" Gallery HAAS & GSCHWANDTNER in Salzburg shows in this year's festival summer 2023 a solo show of the internationally successful Austrian artist Parov Stelar.

Marcus Füreder has been one of the most internationally successful Austrian artists and producers for years under his pseudonym Parov Stelar. From the studio to the recording studio to the dance floor in the form of art and beats, with Parov Stelar these spheres unite to form a great whole.

Parov Stelar sees painting as an impulse response. In the digital design phase, he leaves a lot to chance. The first montages on the computer lead to the layout or draft, with which he goes to the canvas, which he transforms classically with oil into its color dress. During the painting process, the artist describes, it happens again and again that a picture turns again completely. As soon as the picture looks at him, when he looks at it, he knows that it is completed. For him, painting is to be understood as the antithesis of music. The haptic aspect of painting is like a counterbalance to the digital. For him, art is an indicator that he is still alive. Descartes' cogito ergo sum becomes a pingo ergo sum (I paint, therefore I am) for Parov Stelar.
